Tendus

The Tendu

Before you do any across the floor that involves tendus, let's review what a tendu is.

We often have them in our standing warmup routine.

Tendu is taught as the action of stretching your leg and foot out from one position to another, while keeping it on the floor. It is important to keep your feet and toes pointed, and your legs and feet turned out.

Tendu literally translates from French as “stretched”.

Cross Tendu

This "Cross Tendu" A-T-F adds a cross step with a side tendu as you move forward.

Step Tendu

This fast "Step Tendu" A-T-F quickens your feet in the turned out and pointed position. You take steps in between two front then two side tendus, helping your feet build muscle memory for what your feet should look like with great technique.
