Step Brushes

These are also called "battement"

I call them step brushes so you remember to step with your foot and brush your other leg through.

It is especially remember that you remember to point your feet and your toes, and keep your legs down to your feet turned out as you do Step Brushes. Your feet should brush through 1st Position turned out as your leg stays straight on the brush up. Only brush as high as you can while maintaining good performance posture. It is better to start low with good form than high with your technique suffering.

Battements - Front and Side (in place)

This one is Standing in Place instead of an Across the Floor exercise. It incorporates the same step brushing techniques and adds direction with side brushes as well as height differences building brush height as you progress through the exercise.
