One Point Perspective Room- 5 points
You will design a room using one point perspective. This can be a living room, bedroom, dining room, gaming room, etc.
Your requirements are that your room must have 1 door, 1 window, and at least 1 piece of furniture of your creation. See rubric for extra details at the bottom.
Step 1) Create a 7x7 inch box on your paper.
Step 2) Using your ruler, lightly draw lines from corner to corner, creating an x on your page. THE INTERSECTION OF THE X IS YOUR VANISHING POINT
Step 3) Using the x you created, draw another box where the corners intersect with the lines you drew. This will be the back wall of your room.
Step 4) To draw doors or windows, start by drawing a VERTICLE line on the "wall". Connect the top of the line to the vanishing point. Add details as desired.
Step 5- This is where you can start to be creative. Consider what furniture you would like to add to your room. Use your practice of drawing boxes in one point perspective to begin drawing pieces such as tables, chairs, beds, etc. I chose to draw a bed. Take note to how I continue to use my vanishing point and orthogonal lines.
Step 6- Add any details or furnishings to your room. Consider adding a rug, extra windows, posters, curtains, plants, sheets or pillows, anything to make this room uniquely yours.
If done early, feel free to color in your room.
