Brainstorming- Students will present ideas through the brainstorming stage to plan a work of art- 1 points

Elements of art- Portraits display line, space, shape, form, value, texture, and line- 1 points

Originality- Students create a personalized “portrait” avoiding symbols thay would be considered trite or overdone- 5 points

Craftsmanship- Work is neat, free of unintentional marks, fully covered with little to no white spots, full piece is considered and filled- 3 points
