104 Elements of Art

There are seven Elements of Art and eight Principles of Design. This week we will be focusing on the Elements of Art.

For this assignment, analyze the definitions and examples of each element of art in my slide show. You will then create an 8 sectioned paper.

***Each box should be 3 inches tall, and about 4.5 inches wide.

Each section will be labeled with an element of art, but you must use the word and fill the box. Use the qualities of that element to illustrate the word. See examples.

The first box should read "Elements of art". The next boxes should be line, shape, space, form, value, texture, and color.

Rubric- 10 points due 9/27 at class time

Proficiency

2 points- Words are included in design and reflect the quality of that element

2 points- All elements are included

1 point- First box is labeled "elements of art"

2 points- each box is filled with leaving little to no empty space

1 point- Craftsmanship

MASTERY-

2 points- on the back of your paper, include the definitions for each element on the back of its box. The definitions are posted in my google slides, and you should have them written in your sketchbook.

ex- "Line- an identifiable path created by a point moving in space"
