Design is consistent throughout each ring- 2 pts
Design fills the whole circle- 1 point

Technical washes (flat, value scale, gradient, and variegated) have little to no brush strokes - 1 point
All four technical washes are complete 1 point
Washes demonstrate understanding of the required technique 1 point
All 8 washes are presented- 2 points
Card Decks
Using radial and symmetrical designs, you will illustrate four original cards.
Two must use radial designs and two must use symmetrical designs.
Consider color connections (i.e Diamonds and hearts are always red, spades and clubs are always black) How might you use this in your design?

Traditional playing cards (heart, diamond, spade, clubs)
Themed playing cards (with non traditional suits)
Tarot Cards
Pokemon cards, baseball cards, Uno decks, etc
Examples
Drawing Symmetry on a grid- Using a grid is a helpful tool to create near to perfect symmetry in a work of art. You will need
A ruler
A pencil
Piece of paper
Draw a grid on your work starting with vertical lines (up and down)
*Find a good distance that works for you for the size of the paper.
Repeat with horizontal lines the same distance apart
Project Rubric- 10 points
Two cards must contain an obvious radial design- 2 points
Two cards must contain an obvious symmetrical design- 2 points
Craftsmanship- Is your work clean? Is the whole card utelized? Is it neat? is the subject matter clearly depicted?- 2 points
Complexity - Is your design simple or does it show evidence of investigation to create a full piece- 1 point
Creativity and Aesthetics- Is this an orignal design? Do the colors match well? Is there a connection between all the cards? Is your piece attatched to its boarder? - 1 point
Mastery (Documentation)- Work is submitted through google drive- 2 points
