Step 1-
Find a real image you would like to create.
Consider photographs of real things (No digitally created images)
Step 2- Open an illustrator document that is the appropriate dimentsions or pixals for your phone.
(Miss. Chimenti has an iPhone 13 which is 2532×1170 pixels at 460 PPI
Place in illustrator and trace image using the pen tool.
Use straight lines to trace over your image.
Step 3- Outline differences in color or value.
You will be filling each color or value using the live paint groups so be sure to separate them from each other.
***You can use the eyedropper tool over your photograph to select exact colors***
-Check for highlight around desired section when using the live paint tool, this is like a selection of a form and will ensure that it is only filling that one space and not all of the forms.
WHAT TO SUBMIT TO YOUR WEBSITE-
-Your reference photo
- Your fully colored design exported in the dimesions and ppi of your phone screen
