An introductory course which students are introduced to the maintenance, techniques, and rudiments of a selected band instrument.
Students will continue to master their individual instrument and expand their musical experiences through independent learning as well as group rehearsal.
Students will combine technical knowledge, musical literacy, and contextual observation to make musical decisions and demonstrate application of music elements, principles, techniques, vocabulary and symbols.
Students learn to further apply their musical understanding through jazz styles, techniques, and composition.
Students will develop and expand their knowledge of music and vocal technique while developing music reading skills.
A multi-leveled course for beginners wishing to learn guitar or players looking to build on previous experience. Emphasis is placed on classical guitar technique, as well as developing solo and ensemble skills.
This course offers musical technique and composition while allowing students to excel in creativity, independence, and musical/technological exploration.
This course provides students who excel in their studies in music to pass the enthusiasm onto others. Music Leadership students have the opportunity to mentor other students and help in the organization and success of Byrne Creeks Music Program.
