Mission Statement
To cultivate and inspire a community of readers and writers, who will go into into the world, understanding the world and themselves better. Through their learning, students will foster the development of the mind and heart, via comprehension of text and the creation of emotional and intellectual self-expression. Students will be able to think, collaborate, and reflect to make meaning of the world in caring, creative and inclusive spaces. These spaces will be places for students to think, write, and become critical and creative thinkers who can successfully navigate our rapidly changing world.
“That is part of the beauty of all literature. You discover that your longings are universal longings, that you're not lonely and isolated from anyone. You belong.”
― F. Scott Fitzgerald
"Literature is where I go to explore the highest and lowest places in human society and in the human spirit, where I hope to find not absolute truth but the truth of the tale, of the imagination and of the heart."
