Times Like These a rock classic but with a twist!

Some of your favourite pop stars have come together to do a collaboration in lock down for Radio 1.

The chords are fairly straight forward but watch out for a slightly tricky structure and strumming pattern. You can follow the strumming pattern written or make up your own - get creative. You could even finger pick the chords.

A bit of theory...

If you like getting geeky with your music theory then you may realise this song is written in the D mixolydian mode.

D very much feels like the home chord but the chords of C and Am aren't usually played in D major.

The chords in D major are D Em F#m G A Bm and C#dim.

The chords in D mixolydian are D Em F#dim G Am Bm C

These are the chords used in this song. They happen to be the same chords as G major but the difference is that the song doesn't resolve to G as the home chord it resolves to D as the home chord!
