Parking is on the road only. There is no onsite parking for parents.
The pedestrian gate on Kings Drive will be opened at 4.50pm. Please wait with your child at the gate until the Ensemble Leader or parent volunteer comes to collect them and lets them through the gate.
Parents are not allowed onsite (except for parent evenings/concerts).
At the end of the rehearsal each choir will be brought to the main gate on Kings Drive by their Ensemble Leader. Please wait outside the gates rather than coming inside. Children must indicate that you are there to BMS staff before being released. Please don’t wait in your car, come and collect your child from the main gate.
If your child travels home alone, is being collected by anyone other than a parent or is being picked up by taxi, we need this in writing/by email.
If a parent/carer will collect the child after rehearsal, we need no other authorisation or instruction from you.
If you authorise your child to make their own way home after rehearsal, please email this statement to shivani.rattan.bms@gmail.com: I hereby authorise <Name of Child> to make their own way home after BMS rehearsals.
If you want to authorise another person to collect your child (including a young person aged over 10 but under 18), please email the following details to your child's Ensemble Leader:
Name of Child:
Ensemble:
Name of person collecting child:
Relationship:
Telephone Number:
Known to the child as:
You will need to press the buzzer to be let in. Go straight to your rehearsal room. If you are not sure where to go, ask a parent volunteer or Lycee Security.
When you get to your rehearsal room, ensure a member of BMS staff knows you have arrived without causing too much disruption. Sort out your things and join in quickly.
If your child will be absent please let us know by email so we know not to expect them. Emailing your child’s ensemble leader is best, but on the night, you can text the centre emergency number - 07903 766513.
If your child is absent and you don’t inform us, or if your child misses a number of rehearsals, they could lose their place in the ensemble or not be permitted to perform in the next concert.
We expect all children to attend and perform in concerts as musical decisions are made based on the members of the group, and balance of parts. If for any reason you know that your child will be unable to perform in the next concert, you must inform the ensemble leader in plenty of time.
All young people in BMS Ensembles must agree to abide by the code of conduct. This document was written by some of our senior ensemble members.
