Pupils will be let onto site by a member of BMS staff - Please ensure that you ONLY let your child onto the grounds when let in by a member of the BMS team. Children should be supervised by parents outside of the school grounds.
If you are late, you may need to ring the buzzer to be let onto the school site. Your child should head straight to their room. Please stay with your child until they have found a member of the BMS team.
Bridge and Junior groups are dismissed by their tutors from the main school entrance.
Guitar Ensemble are dismissed by their tutor at the school entrance gate.
Please see details below if you would like your child to go home with someone other than a parent/guardian or if you would like them to go home alone.
If your child will be absent please let us know by email so we know not to expect them. Emailing your child’s ensemble leader is best, but on the night, you can text the centre emergency number. 07860342709
If your child is absent and you don’t inform us, or if your child misses a number of rehearsals, they could lose their place in the ensemble or not be permitted to perform in the next concert.
We expect all children to attend and perform in concerts as musical decisions are made based on the members of the group, and balance of parts. If for any reason you know that your child will be unable to perform in the next concert, you must inform the ensemble leader in plenty of time.
It is important that your child's ensemble leader knows who is collecting them at the end of the evening, or if you authorise them to travel home alone. Please communicate these details by email.
If a parent/carer will collect the child after rehearsal, we need no other authorisation or instruction from you.
If you authorise your child to make their own way home after rehearsal, please email this statement to your child's ensemble leader: - I hereby authorise <Name of Child> to make their own way home after BMS rehearsals.
If you want to authorise another person to collect your child (including a young person aged over 10 but under 18), please email the following details:
Name of Child:
Ensemble:
Name of person collecting child:
