Shop Highlights: Naturally leavened bakery, wide variety of baked goods
Total Package Review: Origin Breads is not a bagel shop but they do bake their own bagels. They are an all sourdough leavened bakery making breads, pastries and bagels. Flour is grown and milled in Dodgeville, WI. Bagels sold in 6 packs. Boiled and then a slight steam when they enter the oven. Hand Rolled. Bagel was whole wheat and soft with a nice crust. Every inch is seed coated. Dense crumb but chewy. Caraway and fennel seeds compliment the other traditional everything seasoning blend. Cookie did not hit but the brownie was insanely delicious and rich. Not a very good croissant.

Shop Ambiance: Origin Breads is located in an industrial turned multi-use building on Madison's near east side. The bakery is open air with a small sale display and counter at the door. You can smell the flour in the air and the baked goods churning out.
