Shop Highlights: Wonderful bakery in a small Methow Valley town, fresh baked bagels that slap, great cookies and other sweet treats

Total Package Review: The Mazama Store is a do-it-all modern general store that features a bakery cafe. They are not a bagel shop but bake up some damn good bagels daily. They come in a few varieties that are simple and usually seed based. The bagel tastes like a sourdough bagel but I have not confirmed that. Good crust and amazing chew and mouth feel. Features the classic crust blisters. Sandwich menu is all pre-prepped so I couldn't get a breakfast bagel sandwich. Awesome location and funky down-to-earth vibes. If the Mazama Store was a full service bagel shop it would certainly make the Top Shelf Shop list.

Shop Ambiance: Mazama is a small 'town' at the head of the Methow Valley that is centered around the Mazama Store. The store is a health food store meets whole food bakery meets general store. The cafe and bakery are outside on a patio with lots of sunny seating. You can enjoy your bagel surrounded by people wearing bike, trail running, and climbing gear.

Personal History with Shop: Anna and I stopped at the Mazama Store with Megan Alfi and her partner Cody in May 2023. I was surprised to find they baked bagels daily.
