Shop Highlights: Tied for best bagel shop in Boston, unique sandwich menu, locally sourced ingredients

Total Package Review: Bagelsaurus is good enough and popular enough to have multiple locations around Cambridge. But I'm glad they just have one storefront because it means they're focusing on quality product and not growth and prosperity. The sandwich I had was the perfect amount of messy and packed a flavor punch I hadn't experienced in a little while. Bagel had a good crust and a soft chewy inside with the right amount of salt. I hadn't known this when I ate at Bagelsaurus but all of their bagels are slow fermented with a decades-old sourdough culture. Patience and passion are so often corresponding traits.

Shop Ambiance: Bagelsaurus is located in a brick facade single story strip unit in the Porter Square neighborhood of Cambridge. It is surrounded by other modern small businesses. Lots of light colored wood and white walls make this shop feel warm in a modern way. For how small the shop is there are a lot of employees working away slinging bagels with palpable positive energy.

Personal History with Shop: While in Boston on our 2022 bike tour, Anna and I tried Bagelsaurus right after a disappointing experience at Black Sheep. It was the first Boston (I know it's technically in Cambridge) bagel that really satisfied our bagel desires.
