Shop Highlights: Warm and welcoming atmosphere, subway station corner shop, vegetarian friendly ingredients, hand-rolled fresh baked daily on premises
Total Package Review: Bagel Point does the bagel baking right. Hand rolled and boiled on site all day long to keep the bagels fresh. The breakfast menu is simple and sufficient and features lots of vegan and organic options. Upon entering the shop you are greeted by a few computerized ordering kiosks, which I do not like one bit. I did not know you could also still order at the counter so I used the kiosk and got dooped paying an extra dollar for my sandwich because there is a glitch in the kiosk where you have to add cheese to an egg and cheese for a additional dollar. I got got. The bagel sandwich was freshly prepared on the flattop with an over-medium fried egg and was quite delicious. Large sized bagels like NY is known for. Total package score gets knocked down a point for the ordering kiosks.
Total Package Score: 8 / 10
Bagel Score: 9 / 10
Shop Ambiance: Warm and open shop interior with bagels on display and the line/flattop crew visible behind the counter. Some bar-style seating inside against the windows as well as some outdoor sidewalk patio tables.
Personal History with Shop: Anna and I went to eat at Bagel Point with Ali O'Rourke right after a donut appetizer at Peter Pan just down the street. We enjoyed our sandwiches outside on one of the tables. The only thing that tainted the experience was the ordering kiosk robot.
Ownership: One-of-a-kind small business
