Council of Science Editors (CSE - Citation-Sequence*)
(*Be careful CSE has 3 formats. I will be primarily using Citation-Sequence.)
Part 1 - Due Nov. 12 on your Website
Take your Pandemic Essay (APA) and trans-formatize it to CSE. Rewrite the paper so that you have at least ONE multiple source citation. Transform the non-CSE paper into an appropriately formatted CSE paper which includes the superscript numbers and the Cited References.
Part 2 - Due Nov 19 in Google forms
In the Schoology folder called "Council of Science Editors," trans-formatize the non-CSE paper Salamander Diet into an appropriately formatted CSE paper which includes the superscript numbers and the Cited References. Included for your reference is the original paper. You are assigned the shorter 18 citations, 10 sources redacted paper.
Procedure:
Copy and paste the text into a Google Docs.
Transform the essay using proper CSE format replacing the parenthetical citations with superscript numbers and the corresponding Cited References below. Be sure to erase the old format and replace the bibliographic info with a CSE formatted Cited References.
These are Single-Draft efforts. No draft 2, no boosts.
OPTIONS - if you are going to be a science major, you may choose to use a Science Format that your major uses. For example, engineering, computing, and technology information use IEEE (see Purdue Owl). Medical professionals use AMA (see Purdue Owl). There are others. You must let me know before you choose this option.
Another Option - You may also choose to use CSE Citation-Name.
(You may NOT use CSE Name-Year.)
