HRs are graded weekly by your respective staff member. They will give you your score every week on Saturday or Sunday.
2 posts per week is the minimum requirement for a passing score.
If an HR makes more than 6 posts within a single week, any posts beyond the 6th may be rolled over into next week's quota. These rollover posts count toward the following week’s activity, providing additional buffer and making it easier to meet or exceed the mimimum passing requirement.
High Ranks hold positions of community responsibility. These quotas exist to ensure kingdoms remain active, interactive, and welcoming spaces for roleplay, and that rulers contribute to the world of Ajagar.
Create and support roleplay opportunities for others, such as hosting meetings, making public announcements, creating conflict or development, and responding to events initiated by members within the kingdom.
Periodically organize smaller-scale kingdom events like festivals, celebrations, military action, etc.
Engage with other High Ranks and members to maintain an interconnected world.
Be approachable and inclusive. This means acknowledging rp attempts directed at your ruler, avoiding clique-based or closed-off play, encouraging newer members, and communicating clearly.
HR Scores
FAIL:
The number of posts written is below 2 with little to no community interaction. Work to improve your score if you get this, as too many will lead to demotion.
PASS:
The minimum requirement of posts has been met with some community interaction.
EXCEEDED:
4 or more posts have been written and interaction with the kingdom is high. Excellent job! HRs who obtain this score regularly will generally see more server activity as a result.
______
Part of your responsibility as a high rank is to track your posts in the thread provided to you. Because grades are given on a weekly basis, you should start a new record of posts each week, making sure to label the dates. Be sure to also include your timezone, since grading periods run from 12:00am your time on Sunday to 11:59pm your time the following Saturday. Then throughout the week, after you make a post, simply copy the link to it and go paste it in your thread. The example of a format is shown below, but you can create a format that works best for you!
The following circumstances will be considered as grounds for demotion:
3 failing scores in a row with no posts.
5 failing scores in a row with few posts.
An extended period of low/subpar IRP activity.
If you're seen to meet these standards, you will be given the opportunity to appeal your case to the staff, and asked to explain your reasoning for inactivity. If we find this cause to be reasonable, you will be given a trial. This trial spans over two weeks.
If you receive another failing score during this time, you will be demoted.
If you're able to get passing scores both weeks, you will be allowed to keep your rank!
If within 6 months you meet grounds for demotion, you will be demoted without the opportunity to appeal your case.
If you are demoted, or step down, from an HR position, you may try for another position after the cooldown period of 6 months. This allows other members an equal opportunity to be chosen!
If life gets in the way of your HR activity, that's perfectly alright. Just be sure you let us know beforehand, or as soon as possible! Preferably with an estimated time as to when you can return to your activity, but we know that isn't possible with every case.
These guidelines and rules are set in place to ensure the enjoyment of everyone within Afterlight. High Ranks lead the way, and the server would not be able to thrive without them. If you are a High Rank, we sincerely thank you for your hard work and dedication!
