Evaluation

This semester, I mainly learned the skills and methods of using Adobe After Effects and Adobe Illustrator in the course. In the process of working with music and sound students to create animations, I gradually mastered the skills of Adobe After Effects more deeply.

In the process of learning Adobe After Effects, I gradually mastered the skills of using Ae and some animation production methods through each class. You can quickly and efficiently get good color change animations and graphic change animations by using Ae. This change is natural and effective and can be applied in many places. When using this shape and color change, it feels magical and fun to see them change from the initial look to the final look.  I find that many animation effects are also very interesting and can make the picture richer. The process of using and combining various animation effects also makes me feel interesting and more interested in Ae.

I'm still not familiar enough with Ae. Sometimes I don't set the keyframes properly, causing me to lose an animation. I only find out when I check it, and I have to make it again. This mistake extended my animation production time and failed to complete it efficiently, take more time to finish the animation.

I don’t use Adobe Illustrator a lot because I’m still more familiar with hand-drawn patterns and can’t master computer drawing skills well enough to get the results I want perfectly. I only use Adobe illustrator to draw simple ideas and prototypes, rather than using it to draw everything. I should use and become familiar with this software more to provide better help for my future animation production. 

What I have learned the most during this semester is the graphics change animation in Ae. I have used it a lot in my animations with music and sound students. The graphic changes in Ae are full of unknowns. I don’t know how it will change from the initial pattern to the final pattern. This unknowingness also corresponds to the emotion expressed by the audio I chose. The emotions of collapse and depression don’t know where to vent and flow. The process is unknown, but the result is known. In the end, it changes from depressive music to calm. Ae's graphic changes also changed from a slightly messy pattern to what I drew.

I also learned how music and animation are related, how important they are to each other.  Music and sound can make the animation more interesting and attractive, and animation also makes the music/sound more vivid. Music does affect the feeling of the picture, and this understanding can also be applied to my other studies and future work.

This semester, cooperation between each other is also very important. I'm not very good at dealing with other people, and not being able to exchange information well is a problem sometimes. I still need to try to cooperate with people more and communicate with people more actively. This will not only improve my social skills, but it will also be of great help to my future animation work. I learned a lot, and each one was very helpful to me. I also learned a lot. In the future, I will need to improve these abilities more to further improve my animation skills.
