Week 1
Each of us breakdown the Script to get a clearer understanding of the characters, setting, and the story.
Breaking down the details of a story helps us do storyboards and get the word for ai inspiration more quickly.
After each detail and plot of the story is divided out, the scene that needs to be emphasized in the storyboard becomes clearer.
In order to make it easier to storyboard, we have divided the whole story into three parts, which are the beginning, the process, and the end.
After it was divided into three parts, we divided the storyboard into three parts, and each person was responsible for part of the storyboard, which made our progress more efficient and everyone's work easier.Â
The part I am responsible for is Part 3. We need to discuss and modify the storyboard next week, So I did not draw the storyboard very delicate and clear at the beginning, but drew an overall outline, so that I could roughly understand the plot of each shot.
Use AI to get ideas about the setting, the mood of the characters, and the setting of the story. I typed in the keywords Women, Egypt, Tomb, Adventure, Escape, running.
These are the keywords that I think are the main factors in the story and the key points. The resulting images do a good job of showing me a more specific scene of the story.
The third picture is my favorite one, this one shows a really dark place and give light on the way out, gives a feeling of on the way out.
Week 2
After the storyboard discussion last week I redrew my storyboard and added more details to make each shot clearer.Â
Get the necklace and realize something happened
Escaping
Get out of the tomb successfully
Week 3
In order to learn more film shooting skills and angles, we decided to conduct some film research, and chose Mission Impossible as one of them. I have learned and understood a lot of shooting angles and methods, which are very helpful for our future Animation operations and storyboard Angle drawing.Â
Week 4
For create more details storyboard and fun story, Group member Darwin has resketch a new storyboard and add a lots of new stuff in it.
After we discuss, this storyboard has decided to use as our final storyboard for our animation.
After we decided on the storyboard, we discussed and decided what we needed to model ourselves, and recorded it and uploaded it to Padlet.Â
We use the final storyboard and animatic the storyboard. Add sound and sound effects to complete the animatic.Â
For all the questions/problems/work progress, we use aula group to discuss.
It quick, easy to use, and can make our work more efficient.
Animatic: Ana
Music/Sound Effect: Watan
Week 5
We shoot the live action according to each shot in the storyboard. In the shooting process, we use many things to help us get the desired effect, and create unlimited possibilities with limited resources.Â
Use bag to pretend it is a treasure on the scene
Filming in the corridor
Use umbrella to pretend it is a flashlight
Shooting with camera on 16:9
In order to get the best shot, we often shoot a shot many times and try different methods to get the final scene.
I edited the live action and find out there are some scenes that we forgot to shoot.
For the voice/sound effect/music, I combined the sound that Watan put in storyboard animatic into the live action.
Week 6
We put all the models we thought were suitable in Google Drive and integrated them for your convenience.
Week 7
Our original Animatic was too long, so we cut down and modified it to get the final version.
The Final Live Action produced based on the final version of Animatic. Due to some new paintings, some parts do not have Live Action, but the impact is not big so it can still be produced.
Week 8
We did some simple modeling in Maya and imported some free models to make 3D Scene for animation. We uploaded all 3D Scenes to Google Drive and named everyone's part for easy production.
Week 9
After dividing the animation into four parts, each of us started to make the animation for the part we were responsible for.
I was in charge of the plot about the stairs, where the protagonist goes underground and accidentally falls, nearly dying, but finally gets up and discovers that there seems to be treasure in the distance.
Week 10
Add Lighting in Animation.
Week 11
Add Camera in Animation.
Week 12
We Uploaded all of our scenes and communicated in Aula and had a zoom meeting to confirm each other’s animations and final editing work.
