Week 1
Previsualisation is the visualizing of scenes or sequences in a movie before filming. It is a concept used in other creative arts, including animation, performing arts, video game design, and still photography. Previsualization typically describes techniques like storyboarding, which uses hand-drawn or digitally-assisted sketches to plan or conceptualize movie scenes.
Previsualization's advantage is that it allows a director, cinematographer, production supervisor, or VFX supervisor to experiment with different staging and art direction options, such as lighting, camera placement and movement, stage direction and editing, without incurring actual production costs.
Week 2
AI art is any form of digital artwork, such as images, text, audio, or video, created with the assistance of artificial intelligence. (Artificial Intelligence is the simulation of human cognition by machines, particularly computers.)
Humans may also be involved in the AI art process, by adding prompts or data (i.e. imagery including paintings, photos, print ads, cartoons, etc.), but the final creation is left to AI.
AI is a new technology and there is a lot of controversy. I personally think it's good to use AI just to aid ideas or to get a few scene previews and ideas, but it's not appropriate to use it for all production. AI can't get all the special/new ideas of the human brain.

Week 4
Polygonal (or polyhedral) modeling is the most common type of modeling for video games and animation studios.
This type of modeling builds 3D objects out of smaller components called “tris” (triangles) or “polys” (polygons).
Each poly or tri is a completely flat shape that is defined by the position of its vertices (or points) and its connecting edges.
Complicated models of any shape can be built completely out of tris or polys. As designers require more “high-fidelity” designs (smoother looking surfaces, more details, etc.), they can increase the number of polygons in their models.
Polygonal modeling is the main modeling trick I am learning, it is easy to use, the resulting model is good, and it is a good way to model.
Week 5
An animation studio is a company producing animated media. The broadest such companies conceive of products to produce, own the physical equipment for production, employ operators for that equipment, and hold a major stake in the sales or rentals of the media produced. They also own rights over merchandising and creative rights for characters created/held by the company, much like authors holding copyrights. In some early cases, they also held patent rights over methods of animation used in certain studios that were used for boosting productivity. Overall, they are business concerns and can function as such in legal terms.
Week 6
Collaboration allows studios to share resources, expertise, and talent.
Each studio brings its unique perspectives and creative styles to the table, transcending the limitations of a single studio's vision to offer something fresh and original.
Collaborative efforts can also significantly reduce financial risks and production time because studios can pool resources, distribute tasks based on individual strengths, and leverage existing infrastructure to streamline the production process―leading to faster completion and potentially lower overall costs by economy of scale.
Lastly, collaboration allows studios to tap into new audiences and markets. By partnering with studios in different regions, they gain access to new cultural insights and distribution channels, effectively breaking down geographical barriers and expanding their global footprint. This not only benefits the studios in the short term but also opens doors for new content to reach a wider audience.
