As today winds down and we begin our break to celebrate Thanksgiving, I believe this is a perfect time for me to give thanks on behalf of the school and for me personally.
Wilson School is so blessed to have this group of students and parents with which to work. There are several things we need to be more thankful for and not take for granted, for instance: The Career Fair opportunities, WSU's FutureMaker experience for all 7th-12th grade students, the new Robotics class, elementary students get PE every day (I've been in places where that is not the case,) the availability of dual credit classes, the outpouring of support when our school celebrated Grandparents Day and Veterans Day, the donation from the community education foundation, Dragon Booster Club and their efforts and support of all students and lastly all of our certified staff. This group of people go unrecognized much too often but they are the ones behind the scenes that truly help us make a difference for all students.
I personally am thankful to have the opportunity that I have here in Wilson! I am super thankful for the group of teachers and staff that I have the pleasure to work with every day. Lastly, I want to give thanks for my two kids. Landon and Sydney mean the world to me and I am so proud of them.
I hope that each of you are able to find some free time to relax and reflect on things in your lives that you are thankful for.
Have a wonderful break Dragons!
Be the best YOU, you can be!
