Happy Friday Dragons Kingdom,

The first week of Junior High and High School athletic competition is coming to an end. Our high school football team travels tonight to Miltonvale to take on Southern Cloud. You should be able to catch the game on Wilson Communications channel 57.

Earlier this week the high school volleyball team opened their season at Sylvan, picking up their first win of the season while going 1-2 in the quad. On Thursday the Lady Dragons traveled to Natoma and picked up win number 2. Even though they dropped two additional matches, the team is taking the positives from each match and focusing improvement. Keep working hard girls! Hard work, team sacrifice, team unity and being coachable are all attributes in building a strong program!

Our junior high Dragons opened their seasons last night by hosting Chase-Raymond. The A-team volleyball girls served themselves to a win in the first set of their match only to see the momentum dwindle. They eventually dropped the match 1 set to 2. The B-team girls then took the floor and displayed great effort and teamwork. I am anxious to watch these girls grow and improve through the season! After two weeks of hitting, tackling and battling their teammates, the junior high football Dragons were Breathin' Fire as they prepared to take on Chase-Raymond. The team was disappointed it was forced to play flag football instead of tackle, but nonetheless the Dragons had to overcome a tight first quarter. forty-five seconds into the game each team had scored a touchdown and the score was tied at 6. The Dragons eventually took control of the game and won by a score of 76-38. Keep making us proud Dragons!
