Hello Spirited Dragons!
We have had a great week here in Dragon Country! Lots of creativity has been displayed by students and staff alike this week. Whether it be "Throwback Day," "Recreate a Picture Day," "Rockstar Day" or "Class Color Day" our school community was all-in! We may be small but our spirit is mighty! Go Dragons, Tame those Huskies on Friday!!
There are a couple reminders I would like to talk about briefly this week. Both of them involve student safety. Before and after school, our bus students are dropped off and picked up on the south end of our building. When the bus is stopped and the stop sign is out, all vehicles MUST stop until the bus stop sign is removed. Also, we need to be mindful of students after school as they excitedly leave the building. The interaction at the southwest corner of the building is NOT a four-way stop. North and south bound traffic do have stop signs which helps our students cross the street more safely. However, the east and west bound traffic do not! Students should know to stop and look both ways before crossing, but the fact of the matter is they do not always do it. So, please do your part in helping keep our students safe. This second reminder is mainly for our high school students that drive to and from school. When it is raining please remember "Wipers on, Lights on!" Having your lights on doesn't just help you as the driver, it helps others see you.
Finally, lets help our local Knights of Columbus on Friday night! The Knights will be holding their Tootsie Roll campaign at our homecoming game this Friday. Proceeds from their efforts go to help those in need in our community!
Good Luck Dragons!
