Adjustment of Deadlines in Connection with the 2025 Midterm Election: Deadline of Completion of Requirements - 16 May 2025
Students who have finished all their course work and are just working on their thesis or dissertation may enroll for RESIDENCE.
Similarly, students who are not enrolled in any subject but who want to complete an “EXT” or remove a grade of “4” must also enroll for residence.
Registration for residence should be done during the registration/enrollment period.
Note: The registration fee for residence is PhP200.00
Yes, but only if you will not enroll in any course/s for the trimester. This is because you need to still be "in active service" because you are still doing student work. Therefore, you will need to enroll in residence during the corresponding registration/enrollment period and work on the submissions needed during the trimester.
I believe I am graduating within 3 terms but I cannot enroll in any subject right now. Should I enroll in residence?
Yes, as the UP policy states that students need to be in residence for at least 3 terms before graduation. Therefore, it is best to enroll in residence during the corresponding registration/enrollment period and come back to work on your graduation.
I'm sick and taking time off to recover. Should I enroll in residence?
Yes, as you want to take it easy on yourself, (and get enough sleep!). Therefore, it is best to enroll for residence if you feel you can recover soon enough to take on student work that may need doing (i.e., those EXTs).
