“It must be remembered that the purpose of education is not to fill the minds of students with facts… it is to teach them to think, if that is possible, and always to think for themselves”
Robert Hutchins
I believe that students learn best through active interplay with others and our learning increases when we are engaged in activities that have meaning for us. I strive to build strong relationships, plan lessons that arouse curiosity and push students to a higher level of thinking. The students are encouraged to learn by utilizing technology and engaging in cooperative learning. This develops social virtues and provides them with the tools needed to become flexible problem solvers in preparation for their adult lives.
