Short biography

Dr. Nor Baizura Md. Yusop is a senior lecturer and clinical dietitian at the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics, Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Universiti Putra Malaysia. She is currently a member of the Malaysian Dietetic Association, a life member of the Nutrition Society of Malaysia (NSM) and Asst. Hon. Treasurer of the Malaysia Society of Body Composition. She has more than 10 years of experience in teaching, research, clinical and community services. She has experience taught several courses related to research, clinical and health promotion. In clinical, previously, she served as dietetic consultant for Pediatric Clinic, Weight Management Clinic and Cardiology Clinic at Hospital Serdang. She was part of the program development team for the management of Type 2 diabetes Mellitus among children at Hospital Pengajaran UPM.

Her interest in pediatric nutrition also visualized in research, especially childhood obesity, malnutrition among hospitalised children, nutrition intervention, education tools development for children and health benefits of omega 3. She has published in peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings and reviewed for national and international academic journals in the areas of nutrition, dietetics and clinical research.
