People usually addresses him as "Mr. Asri" or "Encik Asri". He is a Dietitian who works in Hospital Pengajar Universiti Putra Malaysia (Universiti Putra Malaysia Teaching Hospital). Mr. Asri is currently holding a position as the Head of Unit for Clinical Dietetics Services in the Department of Dietetics.

His role is to keep the Clinical Dietetics services in HPUPM under controlled. For example, the clinical dietetics services pertaining to outpatient and inpatient settings. Currently he is focusing on his niche, which is the critical care nutrition that he mainly practiced in HPUPM ICU, by delivering appropriate yet current Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) among critically ill patients.

Apart from carrying his role as a Clinical Dietitian, he is also responsible as a "Clinical Educator" for our future Dietitians. They are the undergraduate dietetics students, who will mostly attached in HPUPM for their dietetics related training (Foodservice, clinical and community). As a Clinical Educator, he is responsible in facilitating the students to enhance their knowledge and skills in practicing MNT in clinical setting.

He had several valuable achievements throughout his career life;

Other that that, he have made several media appearances, alongside some of his colleagues. Mr. Asri have been invited in several talk-shows like 'Wanita Hari Ini', 'Malaysia Hari Ini, 'Assalamualaikum', 'Ruang Bicara' and many more. Most of the time he was invited to talk about healthy eating, nutrient and foods. Apart from TV appearances, he have contributed several food-health related articles in newspaper like 'Berita Harian' and 'Utusan Malaysia'. Lastly, he is also regularly invited as a speaker in health related programs organized by govermental institution or NGOs.
