*Goal: To learn & practice one method of evaluating websites for accuracy.
Information is everywhere--websites, news media channels, social media channels, the list goes on.
An important part of the research process is making sure that the info you're reading is accurate.
If we plan to share info that we find in a book, website, or on social media, it is our responsibility to ensure that we are not spreading "fake news." It's also our responsibility to ensure that we are not sharing someone else's exact words or ideas without giving them proper credit.
The Steps in the Research Process
Here's the big picture.
It looks like a lot and can feel overwhelming, but when you break it down, they are just logical baby steps to get you from the beginning to the end of the process.
And even better...they work for any project.
From those tiny projects you began way back in elementary school all the way through to the 30-page thesis papers you'll write in college!
