Google login tutorial.
Open Google Slides presentation from Mrs. Gilbert.
Find information and images by using both library books and Culturegrams.
You may not know it, but you have a student Gmail account. And...because we have access to GSuite, you also have access to free Google apps like: Docs, Slides, Classroom, Drive, etc.
Your student email follows this format:
yourcomputerusername@student.uniondaleschools.org
Ex.) ptrapani@student.uniondaleschools.org
Once you're logged in to Google, click on the apps icon in the upper right corner to find any of these apps. (It's the icon that looks like 9 tiny gray squares.)
Google Slides is the app in Gsuite that looks a lot like PowerPoint.
You can make slide shows for class projects and presentations.
You'll be using a template made with Google Slides for this "Unexpected Landing" project.
Uniondale subscribes to many Online Databases to help you when you are doing research.
Most times, these databases are "better" than just "Googling it" because the information has been prepared and evaluated by experts.
For this project, use our non-fiction books or click Culturegrams to access information and images to help you fill in the Google Slides about your country.
Ms. T. will post the username and password on the whiteboard.
