In your book, you will retell the story and details of one of the events below in your own words.
Memories of Douglass' mother (p. 1-2)
The whipping of his aunt (p. 3-5)
Yearly allowances (p. 6-7)
Slave songs (p. 8-9)
Moving to Baltimore (chapter 5)
Learning to read and understanding the power of reading and writing (p. 19-20, 23-26)
Tips
Book must be at least 5-8 pages.
Use sensory language, dialogue, and sequence in your writing.
Include a dedication page.
