TIPS for Your Writing
*Show, don't tell.
*Use descriptive language to make the reader feel and see what you are writing about.
*Use at least 3 poetic devices from the Poet's Toolbox Reference Sheet attached at the bottom of this page.
(Ex.: simile, metaphor, alliteration, rhyme, repetition, hyperbole, personification, etc.)
TIPS for Your Button
*The image should represent your poem or a line of your poem in a visual way.
*Keep it simple! An image without a lot of detail, minimal text.
*The image you save should be a square, not a rectangle.
*Make sure the image you want fits in the center of the button and slightly away from the edge of the button template outline.
