DAY 1
Introduction to Drama and Scripts
Watch Powtoon video: Elements of Drama
Take notes on handout provided. Record 5 elements of drama and answer follow-up questions.
Watch video clip (Toy Story)
Try turning this clip into a script using the script template provided.
DAYS 2-3
Prepare Your Script
DAY 4
Act it out!
Each team will take turns performing the original scripts they created.
Audience members will also critique the other teams' performances using the evaluation card under Resources below.
Helpful Hints
Your script does not have to be long!
But it does have to include all the elements we talked about.
That means it has to have:
A great title
An intriguing first line
A clear beginning, middle, and end
Remember, there should be a conflict, and the story must be told through DIALOGUE!
Props to help us understand the setting and/or characters
Well-developed characters
Remember, we will learn what they think and what their personalities are like based on their DIALOGUE!
