Persuasive Ad Project

Leave your backpack & water bottle on the tables next to the printers
Sit in front of the whiteboard :)
Welcome back!
This week, you will prepare a persuasive ad as well as a written paragraph convincing us why we should be either in favor of westward expansion or against it. You will be using a free publishing website called Canva to create your ad.
Timeline
Project Introduction
Go to www.canva.com.
Click the red "Sign Up with Google" button.
Enter your school Gmail address and Gmail password. Ex.) ptrapani@student.uniondaleschools.org tp1234pt
Once you are logged in, click the green "Create a Design" button in the upper left corner.
Choose the type of design you'd like (infographic, video, or presentation).
Edit the design as needed. You can add images and text, add new pages, edit the pre-made pages, etc.
Complete your ad on Canva.
Write your paragraph summarizing your position.
Remember...the goal for both is to be informative and persuasive!
Share your Canva presentations and read your persuasive summaries aloud to the class.
