Welcome back!
This week, you will prepare a persuasive pin as well as a written paragraph convincing us why we should be either in favor of westward expansion or against it. You can use both class notes and Google to find information & images to support your stance. You will also learn how to use the library's button maker.

Begin note-taking using sheet provided
Finish note-taking.
Transform notes into a persuasive speech on lower half of note-taking sheet.
Begin typing your speech in Google Docs.
Download Button Template posted at the bottom of this page.
Follow all instructions on the doc to prepare a pin with a graphic and slogan to illustrate your stance.
Finalize your paragraph summarizing your position.
Remember...the goal for both the button and the paragraph is to be persuasive!
Present your finished button and persuasive summaries to the class.
