Samples
--Some time capsules were created with the intention of actually being buried in the ground and remaining there for a specified amount of time much later.
--These need to be airtight, weather-resistent, and sturdy.
--They are filled with newspaper articles, pop culture items, or other artifacts that will help us understand the time period they came from when it is opened many years in the future.
--Other time capsules were created to be more like "memory boxes" for personal use or school projects.
--These are often made of household items like shoeboxes, coffee cans, tupperware containers, etc.
--They are filled with photographs, artifacts, letters, and other personal items designed to let us know about the person and/or time period that the box was created for.
