This page describes the optional process to have your student record activated for summer term, to pay out-of-pocket to take one or more University of Minnesota courses.
PSEO legislation does not cover summer tuition or course materials, so you will pay out-of-pocket.
The PSEO Office will set up your record for summer term registration, if you submit the request form.
Your PSEO advisor is available to help you choose courses. Contact them if you'd like to set up an appointment.
May term courses are not available for PSEO students enrolled in spring courses.
Tuition is billed immediately to your student account and must be paid in full by the first payment deadline.

For seniors attending the University in fall, you are not exempt from summer orientation if your summer class schedule conflicts. Orientation lasts two days and includes an overnight stay. Please plan accordingly.
If you plan to defer your undergraduate admission for a semester or more, taking courses after graduating high school (including summer courses) will (at the University of Minnesota) or may (at other colleges/universities) revoke your offer of admission and/or change your admission/application status (e.g. from first-year to transfer). Contact your college or university's admissions office for more information.
Complete the Summer Term Activation Request Form.
After you submit the form, we'll send you an email when you're set up to register for summer classes, usually within 1-2 business days.
