New Admits
PSEO students can defer their semester of admission and start in spring semester.
If deferring, new admits MUST do the following:
Complete the steps in the PSEO Welcome Site (link included in your emailed letter of admission)
Complete the PSEO First Steps online Canvas modules.
Sign up for the Registration Day webinar, even if you cannot attend.
After registration opens, complete the PSEO Enrollment Status Change Form. You will be asked to add and drop a course to keep your student record active.
Juniors
Admitted juniors who take at least one U of M Twin Cities PSEO course in either fall or spring do not have to reapply for their senior year. They will be automatically continued in the program into 12th grade.
Seniors
Seniors deferring the fall semester cannot be reviewed for the PSEO early freshman admission decision.
Defer Limits
PSEO students cannot defer both semesters of a single academic year. If a PSEO student does not enroll in fall or spring semester of a given academic year, their participation will be discontinued. (Juniors may take a course in fall of grade 11 and spring of grade 12 without being discontinued).
Summer Term
Summer term courses are not included in the PSEO program. Students do not need to "defer" summer term.
