Course Design Assistance

The Department of Digital Education and Innovation (DEI) provides instructors with guidance, support, and expertise in innovative teaching and learning strategies. DEI provides the following services:

Instructional designers and academic technologists

• • Background in education, course design, assessment strategies, curriculum development and online learning. Work closely with instructors and program coordinators.

Multimedia producer

• • Background in videography and multimedia development. Expertise in accessibility. Assists instructors with course video and audio, instructional media, and multimedia assignments.

Instructional Technology Fellows

• • Graduate student positions, one in most departments. Extensively trained on the academic technology applications used at the university in order to provide support to instructors as they use Canvas, Google Workspace, Kaltura, and other applications.
