Why host an info session?
In 2020-2021, we hosted Zoom info sessions as well as sessions at the fall Psychology Grad School Virtual Fair to promote our academic programs. Programs participating included, MA and PhD programs in counselor education, psychological foundations of education, school psychology, and special education.
The Zoom info sessions were beneficial because we could record them and link replays on our department website for all prospective students to review.
Based on the applicant data (linked below), the Psychology Grad School Virtual Fair may be a good way to recruit students from diverse backgrounds. Four of our five applicants who were identified in Slate as "Black - African American" attended the Psychology Grad School Virtual Fair.
