Google Workspace

Discover the full potential of Google Workspace in this session—from the basics of Google Drive, Docs, Sheets, and Slides to using Gmail, Calendar, Meet, and Chat for smooth, effective collaboration. You’ll explore practical ways to work more efficiently and make everyday tasks easier. 

In this training, participants will have the opportunity to:

  • Collaborate smoothly using Google Workspace tools.

  • Create, edit, and share documents, spreadsheets, and slides.

  • Explore advanced features in Google Sheets to analyze data.

Workplace Skills for Everyone

This training is designed to help you build the essential skills that support everyday success at work. You’ll explore practical approaches to delivering excellent customer service and developing strong communication skills. The session also introduces proven strategies for time management and organization, helping you work more efficiently and confidently.

In this training, participants will have the opportunity to:

  • Practice customer service skills that create positive experiences.

  • Explore communication strategies that foster clarity, understanding, and teamwork.

  • Learn time management techniques to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

Training Pathways for Faculty

New Faculty Transitioning into the Classroom

This pathway helps new faculty build the skills and confidence needed to thrive in the classroom. Participants will learn practical strategies for designing engaging lessons, managing classroom dynamics, encouraging active learning, providing effective feedback, and integrating technology to support student success—offering a strong foundation for effective teaching in higher education.

By the end of this pathway, participants will be able to:

  • Explore approaches for creating engaging and meaningful lessons that spark student interest.

  • Gain strategies for fostering a positive and well-managed classroom environment.

  • Discover ways to encourage active participation and deeper learning.

  • Practice giving feedback that supports growth and student confidence.

Teaching Basics

This pathway combines trainings offered (Classroom Management, BOT, CARES) in the For Faculty and Compliance Insight pages, giving you a great foundation to guide you in your role in the classroom and best practices for that learning space.

By the end of this pathway, participants will be able to:

  • Foster belonging, engagement, and persistence to support student success.

  • Create supportive, empowering learning environments that value every student.

  • Establish effective classroom routines, proactive management strategies, and positive atmospheres.

  • Design engaging, accessible online courses and apply best practices for facilitation.

  • Build confidence in delivering instruction across both in-person and online platforms.

Training Pathways for Managers

Current Managers

This pathway combines trainings offered (6CP, 5 Dysfunctions, Ideal Team Player) in the For Managers & Leaders and For All pages, offering you a great foundation to guide you in your role as a manager and/or leader at TSTC.

By the end of this pathway, participants will be able to:

  • Recognize key virtues, reflect on personal strengths, and give supportive feedback to others.

  • Apply critical leadership practices that build trust, strengthen communication, and foster collaboration.

  • Navigate common challenges with clarity while creating a positive, accountable team culture.

  • Address common dysfunctions by facilitating constructive conflict, fostering commitment, and encouraging peer accountability.

  • Leverage practical tools and strategies to promote growth, development, and results for both individuals and the team.

Session type: Trainer-led or on-demand

Develop Your Skills as a New Manager

We encourage you to complete the Current Managers pathway along with the additional training listed below.

Stepping into a management role is an exciting chance to grow as a leader. This training supports new managers in building confidence, communicating effectively, and fostering trust within their teams. Through practical strategies and insights, participants will explore coaching techniques, goal setting, delegation, and ways to create a culture where everyone feels valued and included.

By the end of this training, participants will have the opportunity to:

  • Explore and define their personal leadership style.

  • Build trust and strengthen relationships within their team.

  • Communicate with clarity and confidence.

  • Support and coach team members in their growth.

  • Set goals and delegate tasks effectively.

  • Foster a team culture rooted in respect, belonging, and collaboration.
