Personnel movements
In Germany we said goodbye to Martha Goldhammer who has decided to pursue other career opportunities.
In Belgium we welcomed Samir Faris who will support us for the coming 6 months in the area of AR/AP.
In July 4 experienced colleagues, with many years of service, left the BI and FAM team: Katrien Melckenbeeck, Jennifer Toussaint and Kevin Billen in Belgium and Paul van Wetten in the Netherlands.
With Michael Knaepen, Simon Goderis and Frank Jonk remaining in the team, we also welcomed 2 new colleagues, namely Eveline van Cauteren (Finance manager BI) in Belgium and Thomas Popken (via BCB FI NL) as Systems analyst FAM in the Netherlands. Furthermore, we hired a new senior controller for the Group (Mitchell Kok) in the Netherlands, who will join the BI team as per 15 October.
The FAM team currently holds 2 open vacancies, which we intend to fill before year-end.
Completed projects
In July we implemented a new version of Bilendo which is the software we use to send invoices and reminders to our customers. This new version is a significant improvement over the previous version. Although we did not have a lot of time to test and transition, and we did experience some start-up issues, the new version is now fully operational and has been introduced to our sales teams. Implementation was really a team exercise with support from all countries.
Projects fourth quarter
Besides the monthly reporting requirements and our business as usual, the fourth quarter will be a very busy period for Finance primarily for:
Completing the salary review and budget 2022 process
Working on project Galibier with the taskforce OPMOD & our external partner KPMG
Further optimizing our current tooling and reporting in Board
Onboarding of the new colleagues within BI & FAM
Hosting our auditors BDO who will start their initial work for the 2021 audit.
Configuring and testing BOARD so that we can produce the 2021 annual report for the first time through this application.
We are working on several projects which will yield results in 2022 and we will be able to introduce those in more detail in further editions of the TriFinancial Times. Stay tuned!
