At the end of June we are upgrading our Google Workspace platform to a higher license as mentioned in a previous communication. To summarize, one of the changes that will be visible in the beginning are the following:
Google Meet: It will now be possible to record your meeting, create break-out rooms, create polls and track attendance.
Google Meet attendance: Previously you could have up to 100 participants in your Google Meet sessions. From now on you can officially have 250 participants in your Google Meet session!
Google Drive: Each user will now have unlimited storage within their own Google account.
Google Chat: these new features will replace the chat functionality of Google Hangouts. Google Hangouts will be totally phased out as the meeting functionality already was replaced by Google Meet.
To help limit distractions in your video call, Google Meet can remove background noises such as typing, closing a door, or the sounds of a nearby construction site. Noise cancellation helps make calls more productive by reducing distractions that can divert attention away from the content of the meeting.
Please note that you may have to turn on this setting in your audio control of Google Meet session.
Now in Google Sheets, you can:
Review comments and conversation threads in a sidebar.
Apply filters to find the most relevant comments for getting your work done when a document is highly collaborative.
Page through comment threads in a document in the comment overlay.
