Vincent Swijngedouw obtained a Master in Business Administration, with specialization in Finance and Banking. He is a sports addict and will soon run a full marathon. How do you relax after a hard day of work?
I mainly look at shows where I can just turn my mind to zero and laugh (How I met your mother, Friends...). What’s the best way to start the day?
Have a healthy breakfast while reading the news with a coffee. At the moment, my work route is from the bathroom to my room :'). I hope this will change soon as a quiet car ride with my favorite songs is the ideal way to get ready for a busy working day.
What’s your favorite drink?
Cuba Libre, incredibly tasty and refreshing on hot summer days and one of the few drinks that doesn't give me a splitting headache the day after :D
Unfortunately, we also said goodbye to Evrard Fierens, Kenneth Mahy, Laetitia Bisambu Kumbu, Loris Polino and Lennert Diricx. We wish them all the best in their new challenge and hope to see them all again soon! And Femke Tambeur has moved to Antwerp, so she will join the colleagues from T&S Antwerp, good luck!
As you all know, Olivier Le Maire transferred his task as Care Manager to Inge Moonens, so we also wanted to give him a proper (digital) goodbye. And we heartily welcome Inge into the team of course!
There was laughter (as you can see in the picture^^), nice conversations and even a serenade by our own Kawtar Touzani!
Olivier was very happy with his present (Photography voucher) and also with this send-off, even though it would have been more fun to do a BBQ in our Louvain-La-Neuve office.
We will have to take a rain check on that!
And last but not least, Jeremy Keleman decided to leave the team to take on a new and exciting challenge at Kronos Group.
We made sure to give him an extra boost with our farewell present, so that his start would go flawlessly!
#Like a Boss
We hope he boomerangs back to us, because I think we can all agree that he was a TOP colleague!
The Theunissen family is the symbol of the integrated dynamics of TriFinance.
First of all, there is the son, Arnaud, who joined TriFinance as a Project Consultant 2 years ago. Arnaud is a fervent ambassador and living example of the MeInc concept and is always on the lookout for information that he shares with his colleagues from HUB or Basecamp and...his father. So when Arnaud heard that one of our clients, Fruytier Scierie, was looking for a new CFO, he put his father, Bernard, in touch with Kawtar, who was in charge of the process, which eventually resulted in Bernard being recruited for the position.
As Arnaud explains, "when I saw an ad posted on LinkedIn by one of my colleagues, I told her about my dad's profile to see if he matched the client's expectations. My colleague was extremely enthusiastic about his profile and proposed him directly to the client. Despite an initial refusal, my colleague still felt that my dad was the ideal candidate and that the client should reconsider his application.
What a surprise it was when, two months later, she received a call for a first interview with this client. It's true that both he and I didn't really think he would change his mind. This situation shows exactly the philosophy of TriFinance in its relationship with its clients and applicants. TriFinance analyses exactly what the client's needs are and then targets and proposes the most suitable profiles while keeping in mind the applicant's expectations. "
As Mr. Theunissen explains, "I was made aware, via my son Arnaud who works at TriFinance, of an important position that was about to become available within a major Walloon industrial group. The recruitment process was, despite these difficult circumstances, conducted very simply by TriFinance. It was essentially based on interviews, conducted in a very professional and friendly manner. I am still impressed by the recruiter's very good knowledge of her client. She was able to convince the client of the merits of my application very quickly and despite a very long process. I am very grateful to TriFinance for this. "
A few months later, Bernard Theunissen also became a client by commissioning TriFinance to recruit a Business Controller.
This is the added value of TriFinance's integrated offer, which provides a range of complementary services from temporary support to recruitment and project implementation.

But we all proved them wrong when we took everyone on a 'Trip around the World in 100 Minutes'!
We hope that travel will soon be possible again, in a safe and healthy way, but here are some teasers from our adventure that may let you dream of your next voyage...

"The mission at Delvaux started off as a two-month mission with the means of substituting the departure of a finance controller. The project resulted in an 8-month project that evolved from basic operational procedures, to the enhancement and automation of the monthly reporting which was put into question."

"In order to improve my understanding in closing and AP/AR activities, this project was very interesting. Moreover, the autonomous work and responsibility regarding this big customer have improved my professionalism and business acumen."

5 years ago, I started my adventure as MeIncer at TriFinance. Back then, coming from the banking world and about to finish a postgraduate in Finance with a specialization in controlling, I was looking for a partner to explore the corporate controlling world.
Looking back now, I can say that the past 5 years were an amazing journey. Today I’m doing my 6th project for TriFinance in an FP&A role in the Telecom sector, which was until a few months ago, completely new to me. Over those 5 years, I’ve gained a lot of experience and knowledge through my projects but also within our HUB, T&S Brussels, through training, by collaborating with other colleagues and discussing ideas.
Thinking about one of my most memorable moments, I have to go back to my first year at TriFinance. Our care manager organized a meeting to discuss what is going well and what could be improved in our HUB with me as one of the participants. After that meeting, I got the idea that it might be interesting to organize a similar meeting on a regular basis to discuss topics related to our work as project consultants in our projects, in order to learn from each other and I shared this idea with our care manager.
The feedback was positive, and with the help of our care manager we selected a group of enthusiastic project consultants to further discuss the idea.
The first months, we had regular meetings in which we discussed all kind of possibilities and scenarios, without really moving forward. Personally, I have many good memories of that period as it was a way to get to know other colleagues, not only project consultants but also basecamp members.
A few months later, we took the decision to organize regular training sessions per year, starting after work and with a timeframe no longer than a football game, each time to discuss an interesting actual topic that could be helpful in our projects. We also agreed that it should be as interactive as possible and called it ‘IKS’ from Interactive Knowledge Sharing given by 2 or 3 people.
Now years later, we’ve done many such IKS sessions on various topics throughout the year. Some sessions were given more than once, other project consultants joined our group, and some have left us. A specific workgroup was created for bookkeeping topics, with the other group focusing more on controlling & reporting topics.
For me, participating in this is both an experience and a learning opportunity as well as a chance to meet other colleagues within our HUB and above all a lot of fun to do.
This experience has taught me that TriFinance is a place where you can create your own path and be a sort of entrepreneur in collaboration with basecamp and that when you have an idea, it’s always worth sharing it.
That Sophie Dubois gave birth to her adorable baby girl Mila? Look how beautiful she is!!!
