Why Use Task Plans?

Some young people find it difficult to listen, remember instructions or stay on task.  The speaker might be clear with their instructions and repeat the information but yet they can be asked constantly "what do I do next?". Using something that is more visual (pictures or text) can reduce the frustration on both sides! The young person can refer back to it and tick off what they have done.  This can increase their independence as learners.
