Opinion Task: Write an Opinion
Children will write an opinion paragraph about something they want and why they should have it.

Student Prompt:
Use the information from Money Matters! and the persuasive writing examples from the story I Wanna Iguana to do this task. Write an opinion piece about something you want. Before writing, make a list of reasons why you want this and why you should have it.
Then write an opinion piece that introduces what you want. State your opinion about why you should have it. Supply reasons that support your opinion. Use linking words to connect your reasons to the opinion. Remember to:
