In Level 2 Visual Arts students will investigate the artforms of Drawing, Painting and Printmaking. Students will explore a range of materials and techniques such as charcoal, pastel, ink, collage, monoprinting, mixed media and gouache. They will extend their understanding of the art elements and principles and produce a folio of creative and individual artworks. They will document their process in a Visual Art Journal, analysing, reflecting on and evaluating their own artmaking as well as the work of others including the work of established artists.

Unit 1
Students will explore a range of materials and techniques within the artforms of drawing, painting and printmaking. Work will be presented in their Visual Arts Journal and include annotations which document and evaluate their ideas, processes and outcomes
Unit 2
In this unit, students will develop a final artwork/s. They will pursue their own creative interests through their choice of artform, materials, techniques and processes selected from the explorations made in Unit 1. Students will use the Visual Arts Journal to document the development of their ideas and process used to refine and resolve their final presentation.
