Surface Drawing

Objective:

Create a drawing on an interesting surface (ex- newspaper, maps, sheet music, book pages, etc).

Big Idea:

A piece of art can be created anywhere. Artists combine different elements of their environment to express the world around them.

Essential Questions:

How does the surface the artist's work effect the piece?

How can artist's find inspiration in everyday objects?

How can mixed media effect a piece?

How does the surface relate to the subject? Does it give the artwork a different meaning?
