Remi, du et!

The idea of the project is to transform bacteria P. putida in a way that would allow higher expression of rhamnolipids. They will serve as detergents for oil petroleum allowing their use in the clean-up of oil spills via bioremediation.

Our project targets two Sustainable Development Goals: Goal #4: Quality Education, and Goal #9: Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure. More specifically, the goals we would like to emphasize are sub-goals 4.A and 9.5.

Task 1 (4.A): By sending our posters containing information about biology/synthetic biology, that are made in a colourblind-friendly palette you can help us address SDG 4.A.

Task 2 (9.5): We aim to address SDG 9.5 by organizing an international biohackathon for students, where they get to solve presented problems via symbiosis of IT, biology and data analysis. Since winners will be awarded valuable prizes, we can encourage innovation among youth.
