For this project, we were instructed to take photos with some sorts of geometric shadows. I have done something similar to this in the past that were way more simple so I was excited to improve on my past experiences with taking photos of shadows.
The first time i tried to take photos of shadows, they were of the object that was creating the shadow and the shadow, not strictly the shadow. Not to mention my sub-par editing skills, my photos didn't come out the way I was hoping. So when i learned that I was going to be taking picture of shadows again, I was excited so i could learn from my previous mistakes and maybe make some half-decent photos. And I definitely improved form my last ones. The one to the left is a photo of one of my many model airplanes and it was taken sort of on accident. i was doing some work on it and realized that my super bright desk lamp was casting a very vivid shadow and the walls in my room made the shadows even more vivid. So to actually try to make a good photo, I removed my desk light and shined it against the wall with the airplane creating the shadow. If I had to change this photo, I would have made sure that there wasn't such a large footer. I was using a shoebox to put the plane on and caught more of the shoebox that I thought. With less of a footer and more of the shadow of the plane this photo just would have looked better.
